designed and tested this kit last with logging hundreds of torturous
miles to prove the reliability and tuning features unique to this
concept. With final enhancements incorporated and tested, we are now
offering it to the trail rider! This kit allows the rider to "fine tune”
rear torsion settings while adding a true "rising rate" effect,
virtually eliminating bottoming out. The kit can be set-up softer in
torsion than a stock steel spring initially for added ride comfort.
Rough trails or aggressive riders require a higher adjuster block
setting but gain superior ride quality over steel springs without fear
of suspension bottoming. Here's
how it works: The Ti spring is softer in compression than conventional
steel springs, this gives it a more "plush" effect. Ti is also more
durable than carbon steel springs and retains 99% of it's torsional
value throughout the life of the spring. Ti springs weigh one-third the
weight of steel counterparts!! The adjuster block "tricks" the spring
thinking it is shorter as the suspension collapses effectively
stiffening the springs rate by changing the contact point on the springs
long arm. This unique cam action works in a progressive manner
significantly improving the suspensions ride quality never attainable
with even the most expensive shocks! ! Legend has incorporated a dual
roller contact the spring retainer block to prevent wear.
This is a 100% bolt-on kit complete
with hardware and instructions. Progressive Ti front track shock springs
are available to reduce weight and enhance ride quality as well as Ryde
PX aluminum bodied front/rear shocks- a must for aggressive riders!
